Hi!

New and happy to be here, but I have as yet been unable to carry out my main objective: searching the site by keywords (city and/or doctor names). I am checking message boards for any posts about the plastic surgeons in my area that I am considering consulting with, as well as area recommendations. However, it always comes back with "No results." Even when I enter the name of a doctor that I *just* saw on a current thread (including in the title). Actually, this is happening at all of the forum sites I've tried, and it's making me sad because this would be one of the very best ways to get "insider tips" on this extremely crucial decision.

Any ideas what is going wrong? I am a proficient Internet searcher, and am quite sure that I am not messing anything up. Caps, no caps, single search terms, with or without booleans or special characters, nothing is working. Thanks in advance, look forward to participating!

I sent you an email back, but here's the reply again:

I’m not sure what the problem is, but maybe I can help.

the main search for the website is here: http://www.beautysurg.com/sitemap.html

the search on the message boards is separate, and that is here: http://beautysurg.com/forums/search.php

and the search for products in the store is here: http://shop.beautysurg.com/index.asp?PageAction=ADVSEARCH

what doctor are you searching for?

Hi Danya! Sorry I both e-mailed and posted, but I didn't expect an e-mail reply for days! I appreciate the quick response!

Anyway, well, um, whoopsie! Guess I gave myself too much credit as a searcher. The second link indeed brought up the "test" name I entered, which I knew appeared in a recent thread. Looks like I was using the main site search by accident. Where is the link to the forum search located on the site? My brain must have been really fried from undertaking the overwhelming task of generating a pool of docs and procedure twists to look into! Anyway, now I'll buckle down and enter those names in the right place. Can you tell me, how far back is the longest possible to search? Hope there's not a wealth of info that can't be tapped into anymore!

I was searching on a few names for the Chicago area that I've gathered on the 'net so far, for mid and lower face and neck: Rodger Pielet or partner Michael A. Epstein; Peter Geldner; David A. Ross; Gregory Bazell; Stephen Bloch; John Q. Cook (although the last two and maybe all of them may be waaaay out of my price range). I haven't been at this site long at all, but if it's not obnoxious to ask who YOU think a fab (and not outrageously priced) surgeon is in this area, I'd love to hear it! I haven't looked here yet but saw Bazell mentioned somewhere else, as having trained under Ellenbogen. Some kind of association with a "Hoenig" was also referenced. Would that be your Hoenig? ;^ )

Thanks again for responding so quickly!
