Hi I just feel that I have to share this with you- I am from england and in September I found a huge bald patch on one side of my hair and my hair was receding at the front - my hair was so thin - I was really stressed - the loss of my hair was due to a medication . On a visit to my hairdresser she recommended that I take sea kelp - 3 tablets a day - I took them believing nothing but after 6 weeks there was extreme growth - all my bald patch was completely filled in with wispy hair growyh and at the front all new growth and now 4 months on my hair has grown so fast and so much thicker - my brother is now taking it and he has trouble with thinning hair and he has reported thicker growth - the only downside is that everywhere else grows as well and I have to go for waxing more often............

I started using it Jan 17, 2005. I still take it everyday. My hair is better...but I can't say it has grown faster. My hair dresser says my hair is geting thicker, but whether that is due to the sea kelp or just normal growth, I don't know. My hair was damaged due to over processing.
Wish I could say I thought it was a miracle..but I am still taking it.

Hi,
What brand of Sea Kelp are you taking? How much of it? Details! Does it actually work? My teenage daughter and I lost handfuls of hair last year and none of the Dr.s' can figure it out. They said it was "stress" related...but I don't buy it. Anyway, most of it has grown back, but its still thinner on the top for both of us. Please do advise!
Thanks.

hi - its Holland and barretts 100mg and I take 3 a day - its a rich source of iodine which is necessary for normal growth and for the healthy functioning of the throid gland which can cause hair loss - a lot of women are lacking in iodine - it also helps to increase your metabolism - which is great for dieters...

I have read that sea kelp is not recommended for long term use but I don't know why. Look on the side of the bottle and see if it says anything about long term use danger.

Will do. I haven't noticed any change in my over the long haul. At least not enough to make me recommend it.
