Question about drug from Mexico

Hi Dr Chase,
I became interested in meso therapy when i seen the results of 15 women i work with who were getting these injections in Mexico. The physician they went to is a practicing plastic surgeon and the girls that had them had no side effects at all and dramatic results in weight loss. I received my first injection this week and he showed us the proper format for doing these in the abdomen so we can self administer.. The 15 women at work are Nurses and iam a Respiratory Therapist.I just have a question about a particular drug he prescribed to boost your metabalism called PRONAC ( PRODUCTO ESTETICO). Are you familiar with this particular drug at all?? I can not find any info at all on the web and before i take it i would like to know more about it since iam cautious about taking drugs. He prescribed 2 other diet pills i did research on and i choose not to take them due to being amphetamine derivatives and i want no habit forming drugs. Iam only concerned about this one in particular to make sure it is not harmful or addictive in any way. I wish i could get these shots with you because you seem very qualified, but i just can't afford the prices here. I wanted a quote for injections in the abdomen and i know i need to lose 60 lbs, but no physician here will give me any type of quote about what i may expect in price ranges without an office visit, which then i would have to pay for a office visit for only a quote to find out i probably would not be able to afford them....Your office in particular told me i had to come in for a consulation when i only wanted to know what price RANGES may i expect for 12 weekly injections in the abdomen....Thats it... Jen, I have no idea what the drug is that you mention. I have no medical opinion about its use in any way.
The reason that we require potential patients to come in for a consultation before quoting prices is 1) you must be an appropriate candidate and we cannot determine that over the phone, 2)there are many different procedures in mesotherapy (MesoSculpt, MesoSmooth, MesoLift, MesoTone, etc. and they all have different prices) so how do we know what you'll want or what you'll need?, 3) I believe mesotherapy procedures are best provided by "package" (because 1 treatment does not treat any problem) and how many treatments you will need in a package cannot be determined without seeing you, 4) we treat every patient as an individual -- we do not have a "price range" for "12 weekly injections into the abdomen". Why would you need this particular type of treatment? What kind of injections? What components are in the injection? Why would you need 12? These are all things that are determined after seeing the doctor. That is why we want to see patients before discussing with them over the telephone what they might need or how much it will cost!
Mesotherapy procedures in the U.S. (single treatments) range in price from $200-1000 a treatment (probably most falling into the $350-400 range)depending on what type of treatment it is, who's providing the treatment, and what the geographic location is of the mesotherapist. My office offers patients a significant savings on packages of varying types of mesotherapy procedures. Most mesotherapists do this.

Thank you Dr Chase soo much for the info...I really appreciate it...I didn't know there were that many different types of Mesotherapy. The reason i asked about the abdomen injections is because that is my biggest problem area i would like to concentrate on, and from the results of my friends it took around 12 weekly injections to lose their abdomens. But one thing that i was amazed about, all these women did not only lose in those problem areas, they lost ALL OVER body weight. None have experienced any side effects, swelling at all, only weight loss. I will know if mine is effective in a few weeks..The mesotherapy mixture iam using is collegen + Triac. I wish i could afford the states, but unfortuantely i know $2000 would be way out of my range, especially in a lump sum...Its just not possible for most of us to afford this...But being this is a good plastic surgeon in Mexico and seeing the results of my fiends, i feel comfortable with him, but yet it would have been more convenient to have these here...Thank you again for replying and all your info....

I was wondering if the docter or anyone could suggest a diet pill similiar to enmagrecedoras. I know they are sold in venz. and colombia and that is where i first got them but now i need to find a strong diet pill here in the states or one that i can buy on the internet. enmagrecedoras makes you lose up to 15 pounds a month, i have never seen anything like it. i would appreciate any help in directing me in the correct direction. thanks again susannne
