Anyone had to have browlift revision?
Brows are not elevated quite high enough.

Usually the concern after browlift is that the brows are TOO high. How long has it been since surgery? What type of browlift? (Endoscopic or open/coronal?)

It's rare (but not unheard of) to have to have them raised higher within several years of the surgery.

It was a combination of endoscopic and a hairline lift. The incision was at the hairline due to a high forehead. A strip of skin
was removed to keep the hairline from being raised. The other two
incisions were in hair above ear in the temple area, on each side.
Approx. 1" to 1 1/2" long. Incisions do not meet or run from ear to ear. I think maybe due to skin removal, PS was afraid of getting
to high, because I did stress that I did not want a Joan Rivers look, or as the old saying "the deer in the headlight look!" I don't
want to undergo another complete surgery, but thought maybe a touch up or revision could done. I see PS in 3 more weeks, but thought I
would get some info before discussing with him. Also, one brow is
slightly lower than the other. To be honest I can see a big improvement in forehead, but my brows look about in the same place.
Wish they were alittle higher.

thanks

Yep, sounds like your doctor was being extra careful not to raise your brows TOO high because you expressed such concern about the deer in the headlights look.

They can still be raised, and since you have a hair line incision already, that's probably the way to go. The brows definitely wont go any higher during the healing process. If anything, they may settle down a bit as the forehead skin relaxes.

The revision will be much easier on you than the first surgery, with less swelling and a quicker recovery than the first time.

Your doctor will probably want you to wait until you're all healed from this surgery before attempting a revision, so it may not be for several months, but it's up to your surgeon to decide.

Let us know what you find out at your appointment.

Thanks Danya
I was wondering if you know where the
incisions would be for the revision?
He wouldn't have to reopen the same incision would he?
Thanks for all your input.

sorry, i overlooked that post.
yes, to answer your question, my guess is that the same incision would be used, which is actually a good thing, in my opinion.
the incision will be made slightly in front of the previous hair line incision. then the old scar will be removed completely, and you'll start over with a brand new incision.
this way, you wont have an additional scar to contend with. the previous hair line scar will be removed, and you'll have a new one, so after surgery, you'll start the healing process again, at least in terms of that scar.
again, this should be a much simpler recovery than the first surgery.

i hope that makes sense. of course, your surgeon may have something entirely different in mind for you. please let us know what he says.
