Ok Here's my story....
I naturally have a thin face which gives it a longer appearance. I had rhinoplasty about 10 years ago removing a hump on the bridge of my nose. For some reason a lot of scar tissue developed over the tip and it gives it a bulbous look. I'm thinking about having it redone. I saw the suggestion of having the width increased at the base of my nose to give my face a wider look. I was wondering what I could do...fillers..implants....to make make face look a little wider and not so long..Also with these fillers and implants...where exactly should they be put to achieve the desired effect? Does every plastic surgeon work with those things...I know many do nose, facelifts etc....but You never see many ad's for facial implants or fillers.
Thanks
M.

it looks like jaw implants to square out the lower portion of your face is your best bet since your length is really alomg the jaw, from your ear to your chin. adding a jaw implant will create an angle and give you a stronger looking jaw.
cheek implants also may help. rught now, your cheeks are sloping down and in (look at the shadows), cheek implants can bring those lines up. on you, any thing that directs the eye across the face, horizontally, rather than down is going to help.
i do see the scar tissue on the tip of your nose, but otherwise your nose seems to be in good shape, and not contributing to your problem.
if you had to choose 1 surgery, go with jaw implants.

i did some digital imaging on your photo to show you what jaw implants and the revision on your nose might look like.
digital imaging is an excellent tool to help you decide what procedures you might want, and to help you explain that to your surgeon.
normally this service is $50, but i did it for free for you!
merry xmas.
the photo you posted isn't the greatest quality and it was small, so i did the best with what i had to work with. here's the pic...

as you can imagine, the costs for any plastic surgery vary widely.
the fees for jaw implant surgery usually start around $3500 and go up from there.
of course, the cost does not always correlate with the quality of the work, so its a good idea to choose your surgeon based on experience and results, rather than fees.
after all, you only get one face!

Hi Danya-
Hi Danya-
The only problem I see is recovery time. I dont have that many days to take off from work so I would have to schedule things around the weekends to give myself a few extra days out of my office. Would fillers be possible for adding width to my jawline? Those seem like something I can do on a friday afternoon and be back to work by Monday Morning.is there any fillers that would do the job and last a long time? Other possibility is taking off a week and then having everything done at once..Not too sure if that is safe or smart. Thanks

if you can't afford the time off from work, you can use injectable fillers to augment your jaw.
there are dozens of options including restylane, radiance, artecoll, and so on, each with its advantages and disadvantages.
to learn more, go to http://www.beautysurg.com/learn/skin_dermalfillers.html
p.s. sorry it took a while to get back to you. it's been crazy catching up after the holidays. hope you're having a very happy new year.

Hi Danya-
I think im going to weigh all my options and then decide from there. The ideal would be to have everything done at once..To save time and or money. I'll continue my research..Thanks again hope you have a good new year 2004.
