Danya, what are your opinions on using Radiance for cheek augmentation? My cheeks are flat and I'm wondering if Dr. Hoenig does Radiance for cheeks? If not, I will go for Perlane but I would like something longer lasting. Thanks.

there have been some concerns about lumpiness with radiance, especially in the lips, although this is less prominent in the cheeks. because it lasts a long time, any complications might also last a long time, so i prefer to err on the side of caution.

dr. hoenig does not use radiance for this reason. he prefers restylane and perlane.

note: perlane has not yet been fda approved for use in the u.s.

if you want the longest lasting option, then cheek implants may be an option for you to discuss with your surgeon.

happy new year,
danya
