That webiste and article is pretty bunk. If dirt and debris were what caused hair loss, then can you please explain to me why there are so many homeless that don't have a chance to shower that have thick, bushy heads of hair? Hair loss in men is 99% genetic. In women, it is usually genetic but can also be caused by an underlying medical condition. Please don't buy into crap articles like the above poster posted.

i happen to agree with you-its a common fact that destitutes that dnt wash hair for years have thick hair growth. hair loss is genetic and also hormonal in women esp. since women tend to suffer mainly from anemia and this is a major cause for hair loss. and also, a little contribution comes from how we take care of our hair. but it is minimal.
