By using rogaine or propecia, is it likely that the hair on arms/legs will also grow or become thicker?
If a regime of Rogaine is started, why would that hair fall out after the regime is stopped? Would you then say that Rogaine treatment is mandatory for the rest of your life if you wish to continue the stoppage of hair loss and introduce new hair?
Can Rogaine be used on chemically treated hair? Does coloring hair make it more susceptable to hair loss if it is done over a period of many years?

Yes, it is possible that body hair may also grow or become thicker. This is more likely with higher concentrations of Rogaine, which is why 2% is recommended for women, while 5% is for men.
Rogaine for Women (2%) is safe to use on dyed or color-treated hair.
It takes 3 to 4 months before you’ll notice your hair getting thicker and denser. Rogaine works for as long as you use it. If / when you discontinue use, you will continue to lose hair just as you would have if you had never used it.
Both Rogaine & Rogaine for women can be purchased here, with FREE shipping (http://www.beautysurg.com/shop/skincare_hair.html)

forgot to say that Propecia is rarely used in women because it can cause severe birth defects, even just by handling the pills, let alone ingesting them orally.
some women who are not able to bear children (by hysterectomy, tubal ligation, or menopause) have used propecia, though, and it does stimulate hair growth.
like rogaine, you have to keep using it to maintain the results.

Yes unfortunately just because one of my neighbor who did not know about the facts encountered the problems of severe birth defects. She was totally unaware long after this happened. It took sometime for the doctors to diagnose the case history to establish the connection. With problems galore I decided to leave my hairs natural and didnt apply anything to them.

I knew about the side effects of rogaine or propecia, hence I did not use those.
I have been using the Naturalis hair recovery topical and it works for my thinning hair line.
Hope this helps.

Both Propecia and Rogaine work only while you use them. After stopping the medication regrown hairs start to fall out. Propecia (finasteride), 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, reduces the amount of 5-alpha reductase in the body and thereby reduces the formation of DHT (derivate of testosterone), which is the main cause for hair loss. Hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT tend to fall off when exposed to the hormone.
