Just curious if anyone has had any experience with any labiaplasty procedures. Also interested in breast augmentation--but that seems to be a procedure that's more available than the other. Thanks for your input!:)

I've been thinking about getting labiaplasty, but i haven't talked to anyone about it yet except for my gynecologist who gave me a recommendation to a doctor. I'm kind of scared and embarassed. I guess I shouldn't be because those doctors see this all the time, I suppose, but it's still embarassing. Have you had an appointment with a plastic surgeon yet?

I did have an appt. with a surgeon about an eval for "uterine prolapse"~~at that time, asked for input about labiaplasty....basically, said I could go "go to a plastic surgeon...but once people start going to them..they find more things wrong with themselves....the real problem is on the inside...in their head...."~~~I was referred to this guy by my nurse practitioner (because of a traumatic delivery of my only child...)..essentially, he said.."yeah, there's a little bit of loose muscle there...but you're giving the guy way too much credit...unless you're with a gynacolagist...he's not gonna know the difference.... ~~this surgeon said that "90% of women who have had chldren look the way you do.... you look normal..."

I would still like to get a labiaplasty...for my own confidence. I am still way too self-conscious. I think it is important to do LOTS of RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!!! Check out references, check the Better Business Bureau, check licensing, check state boards, etc.

Good luck in your research!

He sounds like a real a**. I had a uterine prolapse too, but it got better on its own. Not completely, but enough that it wasn't worth having the surgery anymore.
But I thought that a uterine prolapse surgery was mostly to fix the inside, and labiaplasty was for the outside. Like when your lips are too big or stretched out.
So I dont understand why your doctor said you should just live with it, especially when there's something that can be done to fix it and it will make you feel better about yourself and be more comfortable in intimate situations.
Sorry didn't mean to go off... You probably agree with me, but I just needed to vent. Good luck to you. If you find a plastic surgeon that does that procedure and you have a consult, please let me know.

Hi, yes I have had Labiaplasty, Labia Reduction by Dr. Loftus a woman surgeon. I am so happy with the beautiful results and she and the staff were so kind & helpful. There are before & after photos on her website and her Board Certification, experience and other credentials are also listed there. I traveled to her office in Boca Raton, Florida and it was a nice vacation also. I hope this information helps you number1mom55448 and all the others out there!

thanks for the tip! and i'm glad things worked out for you so well.

if you have a chance to share your experience (anonymously, of course) in the personal stories (http://www.beautysurg.com/share/personal.html) section, i'm sure that would really help alot of women to learn more about this little discussed but much appreciated procedure.

by the way, are you researching another procedure now, or just "surfing"?

10 days ago I had a Laser Labiaplasty. I had complained to my Gynecologist that my enlarged labia made sex and certain clothing painful and she refered me to a Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Center in Arizona to have the procedure done. I was very happy with the procedure and esp with the Doctor, I had basically no pain after and although there is still some swelling my new labia are much smaller. I was amazed to see all of the procedures they offer at their clinic. Laser Vaginal tightening, labia lifts, labia sculpturing, G-Spot enhancement, even restoring your virginity and hymen. I had no idea that these types of procedures exsisted. I am now also considering having the Vaginal tightening and G-Spot injection procedures done. My Doctor's is Todd Malan. His office is in Chandler and Scottsdale. Dont have his email or phone number but I am pretty sure his email is DrMalan@Qwest.net.
