I'm 29 and had braces when I was 13. But now my bottom teeth are crooked again. (Never had a retainer). Do I have to get braces? Or can I use the plastic straighteners that you can take out?

It depends on how crowded your bottom teeth are. Some people can use the invisalign which is a series of removable plastic retainers designed to gradually push your teeth into position.
There are a couple other types of removable appliances that use little pieces of metal attached to a retainer. Every couple of weeks, the dentist adjusts the metal so that it's pushing your teeth in the right direction.
If your teeth are too crowded or you are looking for quicker results and done mind wearing braces, then a permanent (non-removable) solution may be best for you.

Forgot to say that no matter what, after your teeth are straight, you'll probably have to sleep with a retainer for the rest of your life to keep the teeth from shifting back.
