Hi,
I was wondering where the best place is to take fat from in your body for fat injections under the eyes. I have heard many things, but most PS that I have consulted with tell me that the fat around your belly button is most like the fat around your eye, so therefore it is the best fat to use? Is that true? Thanks

I'm having this done tomorrow in conjunction with a facelift. I was told that "body fat" works fine and that although they usually take it from the stomach, other sites work just as well.

I've heard that the best fat to use is hormone-dependent fat. What that really means for you and me is the fat that you cant lose no matter what... That way it will stay fairly constant despite weight changes.
For women that's usually the abdomen and hips. For men the abdomen and flanks.

Thanks for both answers. So in women it is the abdomen. Would that be around the belly button area? I am assuming that it is?

Yes, the belly button is the easiest place to harvest fat from. The tiny incision is concealed within the belly button, and there's usually adequate fat to be found just beneath the navel.
If there's not enough fat there, it can be taken from the hips.
Don't expect your pants to fit looser, though. The amount of fat needed for injection to the face is not enough to make a difference in the contour from where it's taken (unless extra is removed specifically for that purpose).
