Be carful! I have so many bruises and red marks from the needles I can't wear shorts. I have only had two sessions. I don't know how long it will take to heal but I imagine a long time. Plus I felt HORRIBLE after the treatments. Just be carful.

That's a good point. If you're thinking about any injection treatments on the legs (including mesotherapy or sclerotherapy vein treatment), you might want to wait until after the summer due to bruising and discoloration.

Hi,read alot about it,the bruises, pain? Are you using it for Cellulite, body contouring?I would like to do that on upper arm area. Understand that 3-15 treatments are needed to see results.Saw the process on the NEWS!How are your resutls so far? Can they give you a stronger numbing cream before the session, or is it painful afterwards? Some said they took Vicodin,1 hr. before session. Are they using the smallest needles and the best gun? Thhat is very important from what I have read. How long does it take for the needle sites to dissappear? Your warnings about this sound like you may not continue or perhaps your're looking for a differentMeso.Dr.???Hope you're better now.

I am doing it for cellulite. I have not seen any results so far. But I am going back, might as well I've already invested 1300$ so far. The bruising is massive and the needle marks also. If it works it will be worth it. I am having two treatments next week for a total of four. My cellulite is'nt that bad. So we will see check back in a few weeks and I will let you know.

I just had lipo on many areas. The Dr was surprised that I didn't have much bruising at all.Since I knew in advance that I bruise easily, I prepared by taking Bromelain 500mg 2x's a day,Vit C with bioflavinoids 1500,zinc 30mg 2x's a day,Bcomplex and arnica.I have continued my regimine after surgery as well. He took out the stitches 2 days earlier than scheduled.I've had surgury before but never prepared like this. Been back to him 3x's for ulrtasound. He still comments on the lack of bruising. Now 16 days the little I had is gone.Have one suture mark on knee that is stillnoticable.
I'm sure it's the VITAMINS because I get blk.&blu.easily.What about other patients in the office? Are they saying the same thing?Good luck, try to read about vit.for bruising on line.It worked for me.

So, I just had my fourth treatment. I hadn't seen any results after my third( and my cellulite is not very bad) and the doctor knew this. So she used collagenase and boy does it itch! Swollen and red and itchy. I hope it's not an allergic reaction. Right after she was done this last time my body was shaking non stop, but finally subsided. She said itching is normal, but if it doesn't get better in a day or two I will see someone about it.
I'll keep you posted.
P.S The vitamin advice was incredible! Did everything she said and it really worked...fast!
Keep you posted...She said I'll only need five treatments.

I have just started to do research about this. I am very interested, and scared! The main thing that scares me is finding a qualified and certified Dr. Has anyone had this done in California (Southern). If so, with what Dr. and what was the outcome? Are you happy with it? Any suggestions about researching mesotherapy? I tried looking into the website for the American Society of Mesotherapy but the only information they give is for Dr.'s who want to sign up for the seminars. They don't have a link to find a Dr. Anyway sorry for the questions, I just want to cover all my bases and make a safe choice!

I have done mesotherapy for body sculpting and cellulite. I have had over 10 sessions and it's the best investment I've ever made. I had sculpting of my cheeks and the improvements have been enormous. Everyone thinks I have lost more weight than I have. I weighed 140 lbs when I started in Dec 2003 and weigh 125 now. Of course when I started to see improvements I started eating right (low carb) and upped my exercise at the same time. I initially started with abdomen, then added upper arms, thighs, behind and cellulite. I didn't feel right only sculpting one area and felt it was important to sculpt all over. I highly recommend Dr. Jennings in Newport Beach. His website is http://www.mesotherapy-cosmetic.com/index.html
Tell him Vera sent you!

When did you start seeing results on your cellulite?

It DOES take time. I didn't have horrible cellulite, but I think because I had sculpting and cellulite at the same time it helped it along. I would say 5th to 6th time?

I am so glad that you mentioned Dr. Jennings! I do have an appointment scheduled with him in June. I was a bit hesitant because I am new to the state and have never heard of Dr. Jennings. Now that I have heard about positive results from him I am back to being excited. I am going for abs. I do excersie daily and eat right. My weight is not an issue (through dieting I have lost weight) but now I have the stubborn belly flab that will not go away. I am hoping he can help me. One more question...since it is already bathing suit season, does the bruising last very long? Thank you again for responding!!!

I am glad you found my post helpful. He is definitely the best in my opinion! He's also a VERY busy man. As for the bruising it normally takes about 2 weeks for it to clear up completely. If you decide to do it I highly recommend taking arnica and grapeseed extract pills the day before and continuously the following week. Also, apply traumeel or some topical arnica ointment to the area 3x daily. Make sure to use the numbing cream! He normally doesn't charge for it. I suggest getting there 1 hour before and having this done. You may not be able to get through the whole treatment the first time if you are sensitive to pain.

I was recently told about mesotherapy and am interested, but always weary of 'get thin quick' schemes. Having read this discussion helps. I am interested for cellulite on back of legs. I don't have a perfect body but I look fine in clothes. But not in shorts or swimsuits. Does it get rid of dimples? Has anyone used a doctor up in the sacramento area? Heard anything about Dr Michael Schorr?

Meso can lessen the dimpling, but it will take time. You may want to ask about having a subcission done. This is much faster and works for severe dimpling. The only doctor I know of is the one I go to who is in the Bay Area in the Blackhawk/San Ramon area every week. Not sure if there are any Meso doctors in Sac. Hope that helps! :)

I have had six treatments, when do the effects stop getting better? I mean after I get my seventh treatment should I stop and expect to continue to see improvements even after?
