Hi there I am currently scheduling an appt for a Tummy tuck and breast Lift and had some questions..

First of all..Has anyone out there done multiple procedures and if so how was there experience and recovery time? Would you do it again?

Ive had 2 c-sections and am done having children and feel this is the best time in my life to do this, although a lot of friends and family think this is a very radical desicion on my part. Has anyone encountered this kind of reaction from others? It seems that plastic surgery is still very taboo to a lot of people especially those who have never considered it.

I have chosen a surgeon in my town..and feel very confident with my desicion..would anyone have advice on how they located there plastic surgeon? Also did your surgeon have patient pics he shared with you? Mine didnt have any..( he explained he was in the process of sending consent forms etc..and building a website..but this still hits me funny..he is very reputable in the community otherwise & i was referred thru friends who had procedures done and were very happy;)

Something also kind of hit me funny on the news last night, they did an article on plastic surgery..and the doctor said he gave ALL patients a screening thru his psychologist before setting things up. To make sure they were doing it for the right reasons.and stressed that it wont make you a happier person afterwards..your still the same on the inside...The surgeon i chose didnt do this at all..although I think its a good idea..I almost beg to differ his point of view..because women ONLY do this to improve there physical outward looks which in turn give them more inner self confidence. Does anyone have any input on this? Please share your stories..and if you have any advice on choosing a good plastic surgeon let me know! Thanks so much!

Michelle

First of all, check to see if your PS is board certified or if he or she has any malpractice cases against him or her. If possible, talk to the people he's worked on. As far as the pics go and him not having any, how long has he been practicing surgery that he doesn't have pics yet? My consent form was signed BEFORE my surgery for the pics; not afterwards.

I also did not have psychiatric consultations before my surgery. I had my eyelids done and liposuction under my chin. I think if someone has a total face lift or intends to have a drastic change in their looks might need to talk to someone, but having a tummy tuck and your breasts lifted shouldnt' require that at all.

I've gotten a lot of negative comments about getting my surgery done because I was "already beautiful" so they thought. I had comments about not aging gracefully and ridiculous things like that. Damn right I don't want to age gracefully!! It's not that I want to look like a 20-year old, I just want to hold on to my 40s for a long, long time.

Hi ! I just had a TT 3 weeks ago...
I had my scary moments after recovering... because it was all new to me... what my body was going through....

I went through a few consultations... and when I met my doc I knew he was the right guy. He also had a web site with unbelievable pics... as well as before & after pics in his office. He took time w/me & explained a lot & was never in a hurry.

The other 2 consultations I had... I had a bad feeling...felt uncomfortable..felt rushed....and didn't care for the doctors.

I would suggest go with your GUT and if you have any doubts then you are probably right.:D

Good Luck ! You will love the results after your recovery!
