Hi all,
I've had my 3rd treatment of Meso. Before I went I measured myself and have lost 1 inch my thighs and an inch in my abs/hips areas. I am noticing a change in my legs and abs. My doctor said that I'm seeing results faster than he thought I would. I am also working out, however, no more than I did prior to the treatments.
I am a little more sore this time around in the areas where they've done spot reduction mesotherapy. My doc only does the spot reduction every 2 weeks. Cellulite is every week. Still, it's nothing compared to post op and I'm able to function normally. I am excited to see the ongoing results.

Did you use any kind of numbing cream? Didn't it hurt? I'm so chicken! I am flying to So Cal to have this done and flying home the same day. I sure don't want to cry the entire time in the Dr office and then get on a plane and try to act normal! :) I'm going to take a vicodin prior to the procedure as a precaution. If you did use numbing cream, did you have to wait an hour for it to have effect?
It seems to me that I have read about 2 different creams: one that takes an hour and you use saran wrap; and another one that only takes 20 minutes to work. Any input? Anybody?

Using saran wrap over the cream will increase it's effectiveness because it forces the medication under the skin. It works with both EMLA and Elamax (LMX), but since Elamax is stronger than EMLA, the saran wrap is not required.
I'd say 30 minutes for Elamax, and 45 to 60 for EMLA. Elamax is available over the counter in 4 or 5% creams. You can find Elamax creams here (http://www.beautysurg.com/shop/skincare_scar.html)

Yes I used a numbing cream along with the saran wrap. I tried it without and it did not work that much at all. Vicodin will help I'm sure. I don't take anything because I drive. I did have it done without the cream and it wasn't as bad as you are probably thinking it is. It's over in 10 mins.
I'm not sure what cream he gave me, it's in a little bottle they made up. He did say it was or has lidocaine in it and to not use too much. Dana would know more about that then I would. I know I wait an hour before the procedure.
Your plane ride will be fine. I drive myself 1/2 hour back when I'm done and I'm fine.
Yoga breathing helps during the injections!! You will be fine Tutti ... trust me!
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
I go for my 4th treatment tomorrow.

Thanks Danya and Marsha. I've used one of those creams before. I put a bunch on my forehead when I was going to get my forehead botox'd. By the time I got to the Dr office my face was SUPER numb. So numb, I couldnt wrinkle my forehead! They laughed at me and sent me home telling me to not use soooo much next time. lol I felt like an idiot!

Just got back from my 4th treatment. This time I had him do my arms (underneath) and the area right above the bra line for sculpting, along with my cellulite treatment.
I don't feel as sore as I did last time. I think it's because I had my inner thighs and lower abs done last time so when I walked I could feel it in my thighs. When it's done to my lower abs I notice it more because it swells up and I'm not used to having that so when I do the dishes I bump up against the counter and it's THERE! heh
I'll let you know how the next couple days goes in addition to noticing anymore improvements.
