I just had a facelift 2 months ago and love the results but would love more defined cheekbones. I have decent cheekbones so I don't think implants are necessary. I would like your opinion as to what would be the best option for just a little boost to my cheek bones. Where to they put injectable? Under muscle or more superficial? Thank you. )P.S. I could send you a picture if that would help with proper advise.

Hi Lilly Belle,
To answer your question, the best solution for you really depends on your anatomy and desires.
If your problem is that you dont have enough soft tissue, but have good cheek bone structure, then a filler is the best option. This case is very common since we tend to lose fat from our faces as we age.
If, on the other hand, your cheekbones themselves dont project adequately or you have good bone structure but want a more dramatic effect, then you'll probably need cheek implants to build up the midface enough for your desired effect.
Some people lack both soft tissue and bony projection, and need both treatments together.
As you probably know, filler options range from temporary to semi-permanent to permanent. My advice is to try a temporary filler such as a collagen or hyaluronic acid filler like Cosmoderm or Restylane first so you can see how it looks. If you love it, then once it absorbs, you might want to consider a bigger investment in fat transfer which tends to last quite well in the upper cheeks or even cheek implants.
