I'm getting a small augmentation in December, but I'm having doubts about what to use. The doctor says silicone, but I've read stories about silicone causing bone erosion many years after, and some horror stories of it even emerging inside the mouth and being pulled out through it.
I've also heard of the newer Porex and mersilene mesh materials, and how they allow tissue to grow in the implant so it actually fuses with your chin instead of just sitting there, but if you ever need it removed for some reason it can cause serious complications.
Which material should I use? Are the stories about silicone true? Help.
