I had Portrait, Endoscopic browlift, and fat grafting of the face all at once.
Let me tell you the cons first, I am a month post-op and can't move my left eyebrow so my eyes look asymmetry from the browlift. My left eye looks smaller and it droops a little because I have no muscle control on that side. My head, temples, and eyebrows are still extremely sore and itchy. I had twelve staples in my head and was expecting 3-5.
My face from the Potrait is still red, especially my eye lids and underneath my eye.
The fat grafting made me look extremely bizarre for the first 3 wks, my face is just starting to not look like plastic surgery nightmare.
Ok, now the pros. .. My forehead looks extremely smooth, youthful and perfectly placed from the browlift.
My skin is as flawless as a babys. The Portrait gets rid of any blemishes, sun damage etc.
The fat put in my cheeks makes me look like Im in my 20's and Im in my 40's!
Just wanted to let everyone know the downtime is at least a month! Don't let anyone tell you that you'll be swollen of sore for a week to 10 days. I am still sore ...and its one month later!
I had these done in Delray, Florida The doctor's website is www.facedoc.net My face is starting to look awesome. My left eyebrow doesnt have alot of movement yet. I saw the doc yesterday and he said sometimes the nerves take a while to heal. email me with any other questions...i'd be glad to help!
and do you mind telling us the total cost of the procedure, coz it really looks good
The total cost was 10,500.00 I can't remember exactly what the breakdown was, but i think it was: Endoscopic browlift-$3800.00 Portrait- $3500.00 Fat Grafting $3200.00
I am a month post-op now and I am just starting to love the results. This definetly required patience but if you want change bad enough...it's worth it!
When I get my before and after photos, I'd love to share them with you
Wow - your comments really show how important it is to leave yourself enough time to heal from cosmetic surgery! Doctors always seem to underestimate how much pain there will be and how long it will take before you will start to look good again. I wish they would be more realistic - I think it would make it easier for patients to heal if they know that when they are experiencing is normal and they shouldn't rush it.
Sounds as if you did a lot of research beforehand, into issues such as cost of cosmetic surgery, etc. I sometimes think cost is another area doctors tend to lowball, if they leave out the hidden costs or fees. The price can be high, but if you're happy with the results - more power to you! FYI - there's more info on different procedures, costs, etc at Cosmetic Surgery Info - but it doesn't sound as if you'll need anything else anytime soon!
