New Approach to Plastic Surgery
Education - The Cosmetic Enhancement Expo
Los Angeles, CA - No one can deny that plastic surgery
has become a favorite topic of the media as plastic
surgery increases in acceptance and safety, while risks
and recovery times decrease. Television, radio, newspapers
and magazines cover the topic of cosmetic surgery daily,
but until now there has been no interactive means of
directly educating the public about it. On November
5th - 7th the Los Angeles Convention Center will be
home to the first consumer learning event exploring
cosmetic enhancement in the U.S.
Known as the Cosmetic Enhancement Expo, the three day
event will educate 15,000 consumers about their options
in cosmetic enhancement and introduce them to local
and national experts and suppliers in the industry.
The educational conference and exposition sponsored
by Beautysurg.com, will feature some of the country's
leading medical professionals, such as Malcom Paul,
MD (former president of the American Society of Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery), Garth Fisher, MD (creator of ABC's
Extreme Makeover), and Zein Obagi, MD (creator of Obagi
Nu-Derm Skincare) to name a few. Informative lectures
will be presented by experts on such topics as patient
safety, choosing a doctor, surgical techniques, innovative
procedures, financing, digital imaging, new technology,
and non-invasive treatments.
In addition to plastic surgery, consumers will also
be educated about cosmetic dentistry, dermatology, vision
correction, anti-aging medicine, fitness, and skincare.
A trade show floor with 200 exhibitors and 2 theater
stages for live demonstrations will further expand the
opportunities for learning. Potential patients will
have a chance to meet with representatives from doctor's
offices and companies such as Mentor, Botox Cosmetic,
Medicis (Restylane), Beautysurg.com, and Obagi Medical
Products.
For many years, doctors have had the opportunity to
attend conferences and learn about the latest advances
in their field of medicine. Now, for the first time
in the United States, the Cosmetic Enhancement Expo
will bring education of the cutting-edge of Cosmetic
Enhancement directly to the patients on November 5th,
6th, and 7th, 2004 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Future expos are scheduled in 2005 for Miami, New York,
Chicago, and Los Angeles.
