technique to manually exfoliate the skin using a scalpel

lax skin characterized by skin redundancy or folding,
especially of the upper eyelids

- surgical removal of excess skin and fat

matrix of collagen and elastin

the separation of the abdominal muscles, usually as
a result of pregnancy or massive weight gain; also called

Dog ear deformity

- a breast implant containing a shell of silicone surrounded
by an adjustable space where saline is added; also called
a Becker implant, named after the inventor
Dry eye - inadequate
lubrication of the eyball due to exposure or decreased
tear production; can lead to corneal ulceration
DVT (Deep Venous Thrombosis)
- a blood clot, usually originating in the deep veins
of the leg; increased risk of DVT after surgery or periods
of inactivity
Dynamic cooling device
- an apparatus attached to a cosmetic laser that emits
a short burst of cooling agent milliseconds before each
pulse of the laser, thereby reducing pain and thermal
damage
Dynamic wrinkles
- creases in the skin caused by muscle contraction and
facial expression
Dysplasia - abnormal

Dysplastic nevus
- an atypical mole that may be a precursor of malignant
melanoma
